Returns, Deposits & Shipping Policies
Merchandise Return Policies
(Does not include boats.)
- All returns must be made within 30-days of original purchase.
- All returns must be made with original sales receipt..
- All returns must be made in new meaning unused condition. All labels must be attached.
- There are no returns on special orders.
- All sales of merchandise purchases “on sale” are final.
Canoe, Kayak, & Whitewater Boat Returns
- All boat sales are final. We cannot accept returns for any boat once it has been sold.
Canoe & Kayak Deposit Policy
- Once a deposit has been placed on a boat it is not refundable and can be used only for the purchase of a canoe or kayak.
- Any deposit for a boat purchased as a special order can only be used for the boat ordered.
- All deposits on boats must be paid in full 60-days after the original deposit for any boat in stock or 60-days after the delivery to Mountainman of any special order boat. Failure comply will result in full forfeiture of the deposit.
Canoe & Kayak Shipping Policy
It is the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect boats BEFORE signing for it from the shipping company. Once you sign to accept shipment, the boat is your property and there is no recourse to the shipping company and thus nothing we can do to help.
Some minor scratching or cosmetic damage may occur during shipping and is normal however, if the boat is badly damaged, do not receive the boat. Sign the paperwork “Refused due to damage.”
